Meet Nicole x SpouseConnect Fellow
Dear PfP Community:
Meet our SpouseConnect Fellow! Nicole Pompei Zettlemoyer is a proud veteran of both the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Air Force, and the founder of Wreaths by Nicole P., a small business dedicated to honoring military service through handcrafted wreaths made from real uniforms. Her journey began five years ago when she transformed her own uniforms into a wreath—a deeply personal tribute that soon resonated with veterans and families across the country.
In December 2020, after a viral surge of interest, Nicole turned her passion project into a full-fledged business. Since then, she has created more than 3,500 custom wreaths, shipping them to all 50 states. Each piece is carefully crafted to preserve memories, honor service, and provide families with a meaningful keepsake that tells their story.
Nicole grew up in New Jersey, where her love of creativity was inspired by her mother. That spark led her to pursue a career in music, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education and Bassoon Performance from the University of Massachusetts and a Master’s degree in Music Education from Boston University. Following graduation, she enlisted in the Marine Corps, serving as a regional musician before continuing her military career with the U.S. Air Force Band in San Antonio, TX. Along the way, she also became a certified black belt martial arts instructor and built strong ties between the military and local communities through music and service.
Today, Nicole resides in San Antonio with her husband—who continues to serve on active duty—and their two young children. While balancing life as a stay-at-home mom, she continues to grow Wreaths by Nicole P., where each handcrafted wreath serves as a lasting tribute to the sacrifices and stories of America’s service members.
Patriotically,
Points for Patriots
