Meet our SpouseConnect Fellow! In her words…

“Michelle LeClair is the founder of On the Rocks Apothecary, a small-batch apothecary brand rooted in creativity, resilience, and intentional self-care. As a military spouse, Michelle has built her business through constant transition — learning to adapt, evolve, and create stability no matter where military life takes her.

Now based on Whidbey Island in the Pacific Northwest, Michelle designs and formulates handcrafted candles, skin and body care, men’s grooming, and all-natural pet grooming products inspired by place, service, and everyday rituals. Her work blends coastal influences with rugged practicality, resulting in products that are both functional and meaningful — from aviation-inspired candles like Jet Fuel to clay-based skincare and gentle pet grooming essentials.

Beyond creating products, Michelle is deeply passionate about education and informed self-care. Through her newly redesigned website, she is building an accessible, educational experience that helps customers understand their skin, choose products intentionally, and personalize their care based on real needs — not trends. She believes confident self-care starts with knowledge, transparency, and simplicity.

As a SpouseConnect Fellow, Michelle is focused on scaling her brand sustainably, strengthening her digital presence, and connecting with fellow military spouse entrepreneurs. She believes entrepreneurship can be a powerful tool for empowerment, creativity, and connection — especially within the military community.”
